Artist in Residence
As an Artist in Residence, my job is to create fieldwork watercolor sketches of people, places, and animals while researching various cultures and ecosystems, and donating the usage rights of such work to local communities. Recent work includes 10 commissioned and 30+ pro bono watercolor portraits of Tlingit Elders from Hoonah, Icy Strait Point, and Juneau, Alaska. Artist in Residence work also involves teaching medical and commercial illustration tips to interested art and science students from the local communities.
